Feedback for Daryn and Bailee: House Flippers

1-- Write about something well done.  What did you learn from this group?  What part of the Presentation seemed the best?

2-- Offer constructive criticism that would help this group.  What might have been more clear?  What part of the Presentation seemed the least polished?  Where did you want more clarity or development? What did this group miss? Etc.

The best and most thoughtful comments will likely include information, observations, quotes, statistics, connections, questions. . . or other material from your active listening notes.

  1. I never really thought was this career so it was interesting to learn about it. I think that it would be a lot of work to take apart a house just to put it was together but I think it would also be fun because I love decorating. I agree when you said that interior design is everything. I think it would have helped if you had a hand out to give us just so we had a better understanding of what you were talking about since this career is not talked about often. I also think you should have added more locations like we talked about in class. I think it would be interesting to know about real-estate in Marion. I also loved that you guys actually got a response from Tarek El Moussa, it's so cool that he messaged you back with important info about the career! Overall, I loved learning about this career :)

  2. I think the presentation was very well put together. You both did well presenting and didn't seem nervous to talk in front of the class. In my opinion the career seems pretty obvious. Buy a house in a good location, fix it up, sell it and try to make a profit. But the detail you guys were able to provide helped to understand better. Keeping up with new trends in the houses is something I did not consider when thinking about this house. That seems like it would be tough. I would have liked to seen more prices of houses before and after fixed up and possibly pictures would have been neat.

  3. overall the presentation was well presented. both had good eye contact and did not look at their slides. the career seemed interesting. several things i learned were the interior of a house is such as important as the outside of the house. the one goal is to try to do the right fixes. good details were provided. the best thing i liked was that they contacted a celebrity and he responded. i would of liked to have seen a comparison of house in the same street. One fixed up and the other not. And see the difference.
