Journal Two - Jake Goedde

Hi, my name is Jake Goedde. I went to Olentangy Liberty High School and my hobbies are hanging out with friends, watching football and basketball, and having fun. I visited Alaska 5 years ago and explored all the cities, experiencing glaciers and the different climate. My mom grew up in Athens County and my dad grew up in Lima.

In these first few pages I have read in the House on Mango street, I have noticed a lot of grammar errors that have been used to perfection. The family in this novel is not very wealthy and are trying to get into a normal house with basic necessities. It is a prime example of a hardworking family that doesn't like the current position they're in and that show's a lot about all their character. This theme means the most to me because this family is trying and trying to do better and that's what a lot of people look up to.
